‍NEWT COTTAGE

Complete Renovation + Restoration

Originally built in 1907, Newt Cottage is a period home within the Baconsthorpe Conservation Area in North Norfolk. The project centred on preserving the property's historic character while carefully integrating modern construction methods to create a home built for generations to come.

The comprehensive renovation included structural alterations, masonry repairs, conservation-led restoration, and a complete refurbishment of both the interior and exterior. Traditional materials and craftsmanship were used throughout to retain the cottage's original character, while discreet modern interventions improved comfort, functionality and energy performance.

The result is a thoughtful restoration that respects the building's heritage while delivering the quality and practicality of contemporary living.
